WELCOME TO POST 974 American Legion Riders

The American Legion Riders Membership Eligibility

All members of the American Legion Riders must hold individual membership and be a member in good standing in The American Legion, The American Legion Auxiliary, a social member or the Sons of The American Legion.

Members must be the legally registered and insured owner of a motorcycle of at least 250cc engine displacement and possess a valid motorcycle driver’s license in their state of residence (military equivalents acceptable) or be an immediate family member of the legally registered owner.

All operators must be properly licensed and insured per state laws.

All members will obey the motor vehicle laws in any state in which they are operating a motorcycle or riding as a passenger.

If you are a social member and do not own a motorcycle you may join the riders in a support capacity only.




The American Legion Riders of the Guy E. Shelley Post 974 are looking for enthusiastic, outgoing, and dedicated individuals to join our group. Individuals must own a motorcycle, any make, be reliable and available for fun and volunteer work for our legion and community.

             BENEFITS INCLUDE:

You must be a member of the American Legion as a SAL, Legionaire, Auxiliary, or Social, not necessicarily this post but it helps, to join our group. This is not a motorcycle 'club' but a group of individuals supporting our community, and having a great time together seeing the sites of our great nation.
